Looking for productized service owners to interview

I’m doing some research and I’m looking for a few founders of a Productized Service to interview. Do you run one or know of any?

Here’s what I mean by “Productized Service”:

  • The service should focus on doing one specific thing really well.
  • Has a set price / packages. Not a variable hours-based consulting model.
  • Largely or completely running on manual processes. Some software components are OK, but I’m not looking for app founders here.

Post it here or contact me directly. Thanks!

Hey Brian–

I recently launched a productized service:

I blogged about it a bit here: http://blog.kurtelster.com/why-how-i-productized-our-web-design-services

My email is kgelster@ethercycle.com if you want to discuss.

@tnorthcutt and his business partner are putting together an offering around landing page & conversion optimization, if I recall correctly.

Hey there Brian,

In May 2014, I launched My Content Sherpa, which is subscription authority-building for overworked technical consultancies.

I’d be happy to talk to you more about it: philip@philipmorganconsulting.com

Our email newsletter service http://greenlightup.com is exactly what you are talking about.

I’d be happy to talk more about it gavin@greenlightup.com.

That’s pretty much exactly what my Kindle formatting/conversion service LiberWriter is: http://www.liberwriter.com - initially I’d kind of hoped to make it ‘all software’, but people are much better at doing some portions of the work, so I’ve written software that helps them do that, making it fast and cheap. I’m at davidw@dedasys.com

These are all great examples. Thanks! Goes to show how many different ways you can productize a largely manual service.

I’ll getting in touch with those mentioned here this month.
