Do you have any experiences with bootstrapping products with premium SMS as main payment method?

I used to work for a company providing SMS payments. The actual amount our clients received wasn’t great compared to credit cards, however for the clients we had it made sense. They mainly sold impulse purchases such as ringtones or porn. When someone is willing to subscribe for £4/day to your service it doesn’t matter how much the payment provider charges
