What are questions to help create a Slogan or Tagline?

I’m working on our slogan / tagline.

I’ve done a fair amount of research. Lots of good suggestions out there for goals (memberable, unique, etc.)

But what would help even more is some good questions.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

  1. What is your company’s mission?
  2. What are the benefits and features of your products or services?
  3. What do your customers and prospects already think of your company?
  4. What qualities do you want them to associate with your company?

Any other good questions?

Thanks!

Put another way, what pain do your products alleviate? Maybe “Speech & language therapy software that isn’t kid stuff” or the like.

I’ve seen a lot of advice to look at your user feedback for what they say about the products and to try to use their words and phrasing as a guide.

This. One biggest pain.

Tagline is, after all, just the best H1 header one can come up with.

P.S. I’d go with something like “Speaking… Again.”

this is a good article on exactly that subject http://24ways.org/2014/taglines-and-truisms/
