Is AdWords + landing page still a viable validation tactic?

Right, so Google have just spontaneously un-suspended my campaign.

No explanation as to why, although it might have been because I told them I planned to delete the campaign rather than making the changes they wanted.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents and say that I had tremendous success using phone interviews to shape my product (bettercater.com). For me it almost felt like “cheating”. I asked my target market what they wanted, I went out and built it, and now it guarantees I’m solving a problem they have.

But initially I was terrible at doing interviews until I read Running Lean. I recommend that book to everyone doing research for their product.

Encouraging to hear that phone interviews can work. I’ve avoided them so far for the most part because I’m worried about losing vital nuances of communication that you get from f2f interviews.

Running Lean has been my bible for interviewing, although I’ve found it’s harder than I expected to stick to the script.
