Even if this course doesn’t look interesting, take a few minutes and look at what Coursera and other free online education providers are offering these days. You might find something very helpful for your business or your next product.


Just watched the first week’s videos and found them helpful. The value of marketing/getting feedback before releasing a product was well illustrated by the idea that a market may have different groups of customers that want different sets of features (or different “amounts” of the same set of features).

It is possible to create a product which, while similar to other products in the market, won’t appeal to any of those different groups. I.e. in the market for tea there are customers who like hot tea and customers who like iced tea; splitting the difference and coming out with lukewarm tea is not a winning product idea.
