Hello all! This is a great idea. I feel like I’ve read more substance here than the last 3 months of Hacker News, but I’m sure that doesn’t surprise anyone here.
In February of 2005, I watched from my chilly Montreal apartment as Todd Dominey released SlideShowPro. Since it wasn’t fit for man nor beast outside, I had nothing better to do than create a super simple CMS for SlideShowPro. I called it SSPAdmin (never let developers name things) and sold it on my own for a year or so before Todd and I joined forces to create SlideShowPro Director, a slideshow publishing system still used by many on their own servers and our SlideShowPro.com SaaS.
For the last few years, we’ve been working on something new: Koken. Koken is a web publishing tool built specifically for photographers and other creative DIYs. It’s free and in public beta right now.
